SH2000 -- Sir William Marshall Sword
Our single-hand Marshall Sword sets (SH2000, SH2001 - Damascus) new standards of quality and authenticity in broadsword
construction. The sword is based on an original, now in a British musuem, used by one of England’s finest knights,
Sir William Marshall, who served the crown faithfully under Henry II, Richard the Lionheart and Jack Lackland. The single-hand
Marshall Sword is available with either a forged high-carbon steel blade (Model SH2000) or a forged - folded Swedish powder
steel blade (Model SH2001). Both blades are identical in handling characteristics and both are tempered to a tough HRC 52.
The blade section features a central ridged fuller and full-length distal taper - a tough test for the bladesmith but resulting
in a superb combination of speed and strength. The grip is leather wrapped and laced and the guard and pommel are elegant
in their functional simplicity. The scabbard is leather-covered with steel mounts. Truly a sword for the connoisseur.

SH2033 -- Edward III Sword
Edward III of England was a warrior who is remembered in history for his dramatic victory against the French at Crecy
(1346) and his sword, far from being a purely ceremonial piece, was made to be wielded in battle. The Edward III Sword (SH2033)
has survived the centuries in remarkably good condition and we have been able to replicate it in great detail. The style is
typical of a 14th century battle sword but the fittings are undoubtedly those of a king, from the heavy gilding to the adder-skin
grip to the beautifully enameled coat of arms, the latter illustrating Edward’s claim to French territories by combining
the Lion of England with the Fleur-de-Lys of France. This well balanced sword may be wielded single-handed or hand-and-a-half
style and would (and perhaps did!) give an excellent accounting of itself in the field of battle. Authentic detailing Fully
functional
A sword fit for a king!

SH2250 -- Bastard Sword
The strong and fearless Swiss and Germans originally carried these early weapons, although bastard swords soon became
popular in other regions such as the British Isles and Europe. The term bastard undoubtedly comes from the fact that the sword,
because of its design, has no legitimate claim to being classified as either a single-handed or two-handed weapon. The two-handed
sword was a weapon developed for the use of the foot soldier and had became quite common by the early 1500’s. The
combat styles developed for the two-handed sword were the particular specialty of the Northern European Cultures, with the
Germanic nations being quite active in its development and use.
